Benefit from 10 Minutes of Exercise a Day

Exercise is good for you. You have probably heard that saying one too many times. By now, you must have an idea that exercising regularly everyday is helpful in losing weight. Getting moderate exercise of at least 30 minutes a day is recommended for those who are in weight loss programs or those who just want to stay in shape. But what you probably do not know is that just 10 minutes of exercise each day is helpful for even the most inactive overweight or obese women.

According to reports of U.S. researchers, even small amounts of exercise improved the fitness of overweight and obese women. It actually toned them up enough to lessen their possibility of early death. That is good news since overweight or obese women might have a hard time beginning with a 30-minute daily workout routine. Any kind of physical activity is challenging for overweight and obese women because they are not used to being active and moving around so much. With the 10-minute a day exercise, the physical activity will be carefully eased into their sedentary lifestyle. It is just right that they should start with baby steps.

Although it is a known fact that exercise is good for you, many adults in the U.S. still do not get the recommended amount of exercise. Maybe people find it overwhelming to allot at least 30 minutes each day in their busy lives or perhaps they just do not have the will and energy to do so. You might not know it but doing some housework tasks is as good as getting moderate intensity of physical activity. This can include any work around the house and yard. Even playing in the park with the kids is equivalent to the intensity of brisk walking. Perhaps improving your physical fitness and toning your body would not seem so difficult if you knew that ordinary house and yard work could do the trick.

Overweight and obese women should not despair since the goal of weight loss would not seem so farfetched anymore. If you are serious about weight loss, you should combine exercise with a balanced diet and maybe even some natural weight loss supplements. It is important to do all these to become trimmer and lose some inches in your waistline. They say that waist circumference is a significant indicator of health risk. Men who have waists bigger than 40 inches and women whose waists are bigger than 35 inches are reported to have higher risk of early death.

To solve this, those who are overweight or obese should start trimming off their fat by incorporating at least a 10-minute exercise routine in their lives. Begin at your own home by cleaning the house, swimming in your pool or playing outside with the kids. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym to do some physical activity, although that is a great help. Remember, 10 minutes is all it takes. Even if you start small, you will eventually reap the benefits.
