According to a new National Consumers League (NCL) study, there is an obvious difference in the way people perceive their weight and their actual weight as measured by the body mass index (BMI). It was reported that around 66 percent of adults in the U.S. are overweight or obese, but NCL said that only 12 percent of those say that they have been informed by a doctor or other health care personnel that they were actually obese.
Obesity is a serious problem. It has become more serious now since there are a lot of overweight or obese people in the U.S. Although you might not want to be identified as obese because of the stigma associated with it, you should still find out if you fall under this category so you can do something about it.
